The Somnath temple was reconstructed despite opposition in the past

Though the nature of the land dispute over the Ram mandir issue at Ayodhya and that of the Somnath temple in Gujarat is totally different, the Supreme Court’s decision to not speed up the Ram mandir case reminded me of a debate that took place in 1948 about the reconstruction of the Somnath mandir.
