If Facebook continues to expand at current rates, however, the number of deceased users could reach as high as 4.9 billion before the end of the century.

New analysis has predicted that the dead may outnumber the living on Facebookwithin 50 years. India will account for the highest number of dead profiles, around 15% of the world totals, according to the analysis, done by academics from the Oxford Internet Institute (OII).
