President Trump: America’s economy is back and roaring and its people are winning

“On this Tax Day, America is strong and roaring back. Paychecks are climbing. Tax rates are going down. Businesses are investing in our great country. And most important, the American people are winning,” President Donald J. Trump writes in USA Today.

In the New Hampshire Union Leader, Kimberly Houghton reports that Ivanka Trump and Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin “visited the Granite State Tuesday - the final day to file 2017 taxes without an extension - to say relief is on the way for the middle class and small businesses.” Ms. Trump told the crowd of about 150 “that the new tax law means more money in pay checks and higher wages, which together are an investment in the next generation of Americans.”

In The Washington Times, Rep. Martha McSally (R-AZ) writes that America’s national security is in good hands with former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton advising President Trump. “Bolton is exceptionally qualified to serve as President Trump’s National Security Adviser, and I fully support his selection,” Rep. McSally says.

Daniel Hoffman, former Chief of Station for the CIA, writes in The Hill that in light of Gina Haspel’s “exceptional qualifications to lead the CIA with the highest moral and ethical standards,” there is “no doubt that our country’s national security would be best served if she were confirmed as the CIA’s next director.”

Iranian human rights activist Amir Basiri writes in the Washington Examiner that President Trump’s strike on Syria sent a “very damning message” to Iran. Basiri explains that “this attack enjoyed vast international support and bipartisan political backing in Congress, a clear sign of the mounting isolation Tehran and Damascus are dealing with.”
