Jamie Dupree in the Atlanta Journal Constitution outlines all of the efforts the Trump administration and Congress have made in advancing and improving the care of our Nation’s veterans. Legislation to upgrade the Department of Veterans Affairs is “one of the biggest legislative success stories” President Trump has had in his first seven months in office, Dupree writes. The bill President Trump signed into law on Wednesday will reduce the time it takes for veterans to get a decision on appeals claims they file, and thereby will increase access to their earned benefits. Bipartisan work to pass these bills is “almost totally devoid of any partisan sniping,” demonstrating, “bipartisanship is still possible between Democrats and Republicans in the Congress,” Dupree pens.
