Ivanka Trump: An expensive college degree is not the only path
Ivanka Trump joined a virtual roundtable this morning with IBM Executive Chairman Ginni Rometty and Apple CEO Tim Cook, where the three discussed today’s launch of the groundbreaking “Find Something New” campaign.
“To invest in our future, we have to invest in people, in education, and the many paths to a well-paying job or starting a new business,” Cook said.
Find Something New is a joint effort from the nonprofit Ad Council, IBM, Apple, the White House, and a coalition of business partners. The campaign provides resources to inspire and empower Americans in achieving career success—particularly those who choose not to follow traditional pathways such as attending a four-year college.
Several Americans from across the country joined today’s roundtable, sharing their positive experiences in using these alternate pathways to find opportunities.

The campaign is another important project resulting from President Trump’s Pledge to America’s Workers, which has seen 16,367,850 new opportunities created for the U.S. labor force since its launch in the summer of 2018.
As the job market shifts because of new challenges from the global Coronavirus pandemic, it is vital that American workers have the tools they need to adapt—including online learning, certification programs, and expanded apprenticeship opportunities.
The Find Something New campaign will help men and women across the country gain the skills and training they need to start—or restart—a thriving career.
