Major US Companies Sign New Job Training Pledge at White House
“A handful of major U.S. companies pledged Thursday to train thousands of American workers over the next half decade as part of a new initiative by the Trump administration to improve workforce development and expand vocational training,” Gabby Morrongiello reports for the Washington Examiner.
“America is blessed with the greatest workers anywhere in the world and today we are taking historic steps to ensure any American has their chance to realize their full potential,” President Donald J. Trump said at the signing.

In Fox News, Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson writes that the company is responding to President Trump’s call for action to address America’s growing skills gap. “We will be investing $100 million to expand employee training and educational opportunities to help workers upgrade their skills,” she says.

In the Courier Journal, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) explains that the radical left’s “calls to ‘Abolish ICE’ have a troubling motive: to no longer enforce our immigration laws and thereby open our national borders.” Sen. McConnell adds that “in a single 12-month period, ICE seized nearly one million pounds of narcotics, arrested individuals accused of more than 5,000 sex crimes and captured more than 4,000 suspected gang members.”
