OPEN YOUR MIND || Historic Opportunity for Tax Reform

"RESTORE PROSPERITY WITH REFORM OF TAX CODE"

- Andrew Doehrel, The Columbus Dispatch

In The Columbus Dispatch, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce’s Andrew Doehrel urges Congress to “seize this historic opportunity” to support tax reform “that will reduce taxes on business and individuals, simplify the tax code, and make our nation more competitive in the world economy.” Doehrel compares the current tax system to an outdated automobile, saying it is “inefficient, impedes performance and is cumbersome to the end user,” in an America and global marketplace that has greatly changed since the last tax overhaul in 1986. Looking at the “period of robust economic growth and significant job creation” following President Reagan’s Tax Reform Act, Doehrel concludes a reform of the federal tax code will allow “our economy, businesses and people to flourish for years to come.”
