Germany compensates almost 900 more WWII ghetto workers: report
Almost 900 more ghetto workers received compensation from the government, German media have reported. But critics say it is too little, and that many of those eligible didn't know how to apply for the payments.
Germany has paid one-off compensation to 859 more ghetto workers — Holocaust survivors employed by the Nazi regime to work in Jewish ghettos during World War II — over the past two years, according to German newspaper reports on Friday.
