We’re all linked to slavery today

Dear "el dispreciau",

Did you know that there are more people in slavery today than at any other time in history?1

Modern slavery comes in many different forms and can be found in all aspects of our daily life, from the cotton in our clothes to the minerals in our electronics. Our new animation reveals what can lay behind everyday products we take for granted. Watch and share now:

As this video makes very clear, cotton is one of the industries most tainted by slavery. Right now, we need your help to bring attention to the hundreds of thousands of Uzbek citizens forced from their homes and jobs to pick cotton every year.2 If we get international organisations like the World Bank to take action, the Uzbek Government will know they can’t get away with treating their citizens this way.

Together, the Walk Free Movement is a powerful force in the fight against slavery. By raising our collective voice on the issues that matter, we can make decision-makers in governments and companies listen and act.

Thank you,

Zoe, Amy, Vicky and the rest of the Walk Free team

P.S. You can help us spread the word on the dangers of modern slavery by sharing our video on Facebook or Twitter.
