Launched in 2014, Philippines Rural Development Project (PRDP) invested in rural infrastructure and agricultural enterprises to raise incomes and productivity. By 2025, the project had reached about 1.55 million beneficiaries—39% of whom were women—and generated over 170,000 jobs. Real household incomes rose by 66.8%, more than 2,400 km of rural roads were built or rehabilitated, and over 700 enterprises were supported, with women making up 44.6% of members. The project created around 152,000 temporary construction jobs and nearly 20,000 enterprise-related jobs, laying the groundwork for broader, more equitable rural development.
