The resolution adopted at the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in July emphasized that a first-rate business environment that is market-oriented, law-based and internationalized would be fostered. The Central Economic Work Conference held in December, also stressed that efforts must be made to resolutely combat corruption and maintain a fair and just market environment and a clean business environment.
