“President Trump, speaking Wednesday at a memorial ceremony at the Pentagon, said the 9/11 terrorist attacks are ‘seared into our souls’ and offered the family members of those killed on that day 18 years ago ‘our unwavering loyalty,’” Mark Moore writes in the New York Post. “For every American who lived through that day, the September 11th attack is seared into our soul. It was a day filled with shock, horror, sorrow and righteous fury,” the President said.

“American farmers continue to feed the world as they have since our nation’s humble beginnings,” West Virginia Agriculture Commissioner Kent Leonhardt writes in the West Virginia Record. “The president’s efforts to level the playing field are a welcome change from administrations’ past and [it’s] time Congress shows the same support to our farmers by ratifying the USMCA agreement. We can no longer allow foreign nations to use the American farmer as a trade pawn. The farming community has waited long enough.”

In the New York Post, Eddie Scarry points out how all of CNN’s big “mistakes” these days conveniently run in one direction: anti-Trump. CNN’s latest spy-gate falsehood “was only the latest in a series of major screw-ups by the cable network, some that it has admitted to and some that it hasn’t. And by what I’m sure is pure coincidence, all of the awful reporting has taken place in negative stories about the president.”

“The number of Americans filing applications for unemployment benefits fell to a five-month low last week, suggesting the labor market remains strong,” Reuters reports. “Initial claims for state unemployment benefits declined 15,000 to a seasonally adjusted 204,000 for the week ended Sept. 7, the lowest level since April, the Labor Department said.”
