Twitter comments by US President Donald Trump accusing China of hacking former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s email server are an attempt to cast China as a “scapegoat”, the official China Daily said in an editorial Friday.

Trump speaks out on McCain's death after a day of questions
After a day of U.S. President Donald Trump ignoring shouted questions about the death of John McCain, Trump speaks up at a gathering of evangelical leaders in the White House.
Trump said on Twitter on Wednesday that China hacked the emails of 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton but did not offer any evidence or further information.
